You’ve spent weeks and probably even months to make sure that everything goes well and glitch-free for your upcoming wedding. You went to great lengths to find the best place for the matrimonial ceremony, the perfect wedding dress, great and reliable florists and caterers, an awesome venue for the reception and a highly reputable professional wedding photographer. And since all of these important aspects and elements are taken care of and “ready to go” for your wedding, it is now time for you to focus on another significant element as well: yourself.

As the bride on this special and momentous day, it is important that you feel and look great. Your whole wedding will be captured in video and more importantly in photos so you also have to take the time to prepare yourself on how you can and will look great up close and personal, in film and in pictures. After all, your wedding only comes once in a lifetime so you really have to put in a lot of effort as well to make sure that you look beautiful and stunning in all your wedding photos.

Below are some simple tips you can follow to make sure that you look great in all your wedding photos:

Remember this simple guide when you will be asked to pose for a photo: relax your shoulders, angle your body slightly toward the camera, tip your chin slightly down, and focus your eyes on the camera. These tips basic tips can help guarantee that you will look great in all the posed photos the photographer will shoot.

Practice your smiles and poses prior to your wedding day. Take some time to practice your poses and smiles at home. Look at the mirror and practice posing for the photos. Take note of and remember which angles help make your face look smaller and more attractive and of course, use or have these on whenever the professional photographer is snapping away. Aside from practicing in front of a mirror, you can also use your digital camera, mobile phone and other gadgets.

If you feel uncomfortable about showing off your upper arms, don’t draw attention to them by using some posing tricks. Simply relax your upper arms and pose naturally. By doing so, you will draw less attention to the arms that you’re quite self-conscious about.

Lastly, have a make-up retouching kit nearby. Give your friend or sister a touch-up kit that contains all the essential items: a lipstick, eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara, blush and face or foundation powder. You need to look great in all your wedding photos so you have to consistently touch up and you can do easily do this if you have a quick access to a touch-up kit.
